Lace Fern

Despite its name, the Lace Fern is not a member of the fern family but related to the asparagus vegetable.

Native to South Africa, it grows on forest floors.

From spring to autumn, the Lace Fern flowers tiny green bell-shaped flowers followed by small green berries that turn black as they mature.

Water when top 3-4cm of soil becomes dry.

Feed every 4 weeks from spring to early autumn with a nitrogen based fertiliser.

Shade tolerant, but thrives in moderate, indirect light

The height of the plant is meaured from the bottom of the nursery pot. Diameter is that of the nursery pot.
