The Alocasia Cucullata is found across South-East Asia.
It is a flowering plant in the wild in the Arum family and has many common names including Chinese Taro and Buddha’s Hand.
The leaves tend to grow to approximately 30cm long but have been known to reach a huge 80cm.
Due to the belief that the Hooded Dwarf Elephant Ear’s presence brings good luck and good health it is often used to decorate the garden of Buddhist temples.
