Alocasia Red Secret

The Alocasia Red Secret if part of the Araceae family.  It is native to Borneo.

The leaves of the Alocasia Red Secret are iridescent and are able to reflect light, the perfect adaptation to growing on the tropical forest floor, bouncing the sunlight between their leaves.

Water when top 3-4cm of soil becomes dry.

Feed every 3-4 weeks from spring to early autumn with a nitrogen based fertiliser.

Moderate to bright, indirect light

If the edges of the leaves turn brown it is likely that the soil is too dry, give it a thorough water and ensure that the water is fully drained before returning it to its decorative pot.

The height of the plant is meaured from the bottom of the nursery pot. Diameter is that of the nursery pot.
