Ficus Tineke Rubber Plant

The Ficus Tineke is a plant native to India and Indonesia, from the Moraceae family.

Ficus plants contain latex, a milky sap that oozes out of the glossy leaves and woody stems if they are scratched or cut.  The latex can be irritating to the eyes and skin, so handle the plant carefully and wash your hands thoroughly if you do touch any of the sap.

Water when top 3-4cm of soil becomes dry.

Feed every 4 weeks from spring to early autumn with a nitrogen based fertiliser.

Bright, indirect light

Excessive leaf drop is caused by a sudden change in temperature or light. Yellow leaves can be a sign of overwatering, ease up on the frequency of watering and make sure the top 5cm of soil is dry before watering. Wipe the leaves with a damp cloth to keep them clean.

The height of the plant is meaured from the bottom of the nursery pot. Diameter is that of the nursery pot.
