Monstera Monkey Leaf

The Monstera Monkey Leaf looks a lot like its big cousin, The Swiss Cheese Plant, however, it is much smaller in stature and can be a trailing vine as well as a climber.  From the Araceae family, it is widely found across the jungles of Central and Southern America.

The holes in the Monstera Monkey Leaf’s leaves permit light to shine through to the lower leaves of the plant to promote even growth.

The Monstera Monkey Leaf is a low maintenance, easy-to-care for plant that grows quickly.

Water when top 3-4 cm of soil is dry. Keep soil barely moist in winter.

Feed every 2-3 weeks from spring to early autumn with a nitrogen based fertiliser.

Shade tolerant, but thrives in moderate, indirect light

If the edges of the leaves turn brown it is likely that the soil is too dry, give it a thorough water and ensure that the water is fully drained before returning it to its decorative pot. Yellowing leaves are caused by overwatering. If your Monstera doesn't have any fenestrations (holes) it is not getting enough sunlight.

The height of the plant is meaured from the bottom of the nursery pot. Diameter is that of the nursery pot.
