Aloe Vera

Aloes are succulents in the family Asphodelaceae, hailing from hot, arid regions of the world, native to Africa, Madagascar, and the Arabian Peninsula.  It is cultivated in subtropical regions around the world.

Aloes store water in their leaves and, therefore, don’t need much watering.  Its low maintenance requirements make it an ideal plant for beginners.

Aloe gel has been used as a tropical treatment for many centuries for burns and cosmetic products.

Aloes do best in dry conditions, so water sparingly, and allow soil to dry out between watering. Ensure water is drained so that the plant doesn’t sit in water as this can lead to rotting stems

Feed every 4 weeks from spring to early autumn with a nitrogen based fertiliser.

Bright, indirect light

The height of the plant is meaured from the bottom of the nursery pot. Diameter is that of the nursery pot.
