Narrow Leafed Fig

The Narrow Leaf Fig is a member of the Ficus plant family, which originated in tropical rainforests.

It is a fast-growing plant, so prune it regularly to keep it in your desired shape.

Ficus plants contain latex, a milky sap that oozes out of the glossy leaves and woody stems if they are scratched or cut.  The latex can be irritating to the eyes and skin, so handle the plant carefully and wash your hands thoroughly if you do touch any of the sap.

Water when top 3-4cm of soil becomes dry.

Feeed every 8 weeks from spring to early autumn with a nitrogen based fertiliser.

Bright, indirect light

If your Ficus Alii experiences excessive leaf drop it is likely to be caused by not getting enough light or water. Try giving it a thorough water and ensure that the water is fully drained before returning it to its decorative pot, and move to a brighter spot.

The height of the plant is meaured from the bottom of the nursery pot. Diameter is that of the nursery pot.
