Alocasia Purple Sword

The Alocasia Purple Sword is found in dense populations in Eastern Australia, New Guinea, and the Bismarck Archipelago.  It is part of the Arum family.

The leaves on the Alocasia Purple Sword can grow to a massive  1.5m in the wild, with the potential for the whole plant to reach a whopping 4m tall.

Water when top 3-4cm of soil becomes dry.

Feed every 3-4 weeks from spring to early autumn with a nitrogen based fertiliser.

Bright, indirect light

Wipe the leaves with a damp cloth to keep them clean.

The height of the plant is meaured from the bottom of the nursery pot. Diameter is that of the nursery pot.
